Student Housing General Notes:

  1. Data requirements are still being collected and compiled by ICF.
  2. Campus Student Housing site visit details and photographs reviewed with Dean Kennedy pointing out what programs looked like, what worked and which areas/ideas did not. Amherst, Sacramento State and UC Davis were toured. US Davis appeared to be the most current in terms of program and functional space of the three student housing projects visited.
  3. ICF reviewed the project description, Q&A, Academic Affairs reporting and analytics and facilities proposed.
  4. Files placed in shared file folder
  5. It was determined that a conversation needs to take place at the top levels of Student Affairs to determine the long-term plan and goals with regard to housing expansion, funding and program. This will allow the Student Housing Task Force team to be as informed as possible regarding options available on decisions and direction. These decisions will provide direction to the committee and will help steer the Addendum and future actions for the committee.
  6. There is a meeting scheduled for April 15th to review the large goals of the project.
  7. There was a suggestion to review an option to move the new proposed 600 bed first year student housing project further north adjacent to Cabernet Village near Copeland Creek. This option is to be discussed further at the April 15th meeting.
