April 27, 2018

I. Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 8:36 a.m.

II. Approval of the April 10, 2018 Minutes

The minutes were provided to the committee prior to the meeting via email. Dr. Ely moved to approve the minutes. Ms. Cline seconded the motion. The April 10, 2018 minutes passed with no changes.

III. ACTION ITEM: Grant to Housing Land Trust of Sonoma County for Affordable Employee Housing

Prior to discussing the Grant, Ms. Visser distributed projections for the remainder of the fiscal year. Ms. Visser estimated SSE’s year-end surplus at $360,000.

Mr. Markley proposed the resolution and discussed the proposal for a Grant to the Housing Land Trust of Sonoma County for Affordable Employee Housing.

After discussion and a lack of consensus, this item was tabled. None opposed.

IV. ACTION ITEM: 2018/2019 Budget

Mr. Markley discussed the 2018/2019 budget in detail.

A “cash-in-kind” line will be added to the budget in order to track the gifts and donations SSE gives throughout the year. Dr. Ely asked that an asterisk be added to cost of goods sold to clarify the difference.

Mr. Markley discussed the Charlie Brown’s Café renovation. He is happy to report they are making progress. While admittedly it is slow progress, Mr. Markley is happy the process in underway.

Dr. Ely moved to approve the 2018/2019 budget with the asterisk formatting change. Ms. Cline seconded the motion. None opposed.

V. Other Non-Action Items

The meeting was adjourned at 9:37 a.m.
