Project Overview
Goals of the Initiative
Executive Sponsors have identified four core goals for this exploratory work:
- Assess key administrative functions across campus
- Identify opportunities to improve service effectiveness
- Identify cost reduction opportunities
- Develop a framework for campus efficiency.
Functional Areas for Initial Review
Exploring creative opportunities to improve our day-to-day work will require a holistic approach to understanding administrative tasks today. Five functional areas have been identified and will serve as the initial focus of this exploratory work. Information Technology, Finance, Human Resources, the Office of Research & Sponsored Programs, and the Office for the Prevention of Harassment & Discrimination will serve as gateways for this university-wide assessment, providing University leaders with an initial lens through which to identify administrative efficiencies. Additional functional areas may be revisited in the future.
Project Governance
An important element of this work is providing transparency in how this initiative is governed as well as how decisions will be made, while establishing clear opportunities to provide input across the five functions (IT, Finance, HR, ORSP, OPHD). Oversight of the initiative is under the purview of the project's three sponsors:
- Dr. Emily Cutrer, Interim President
- Dr. Karen Moranski, Provost & Vice President for Academic Affairs
- Monir Ahmed, CFO & Vice President for Administration & Finance
Steering Committee
Key recommendations for the Campus Efficiency Initiative, including vetting and validating the findings, will be made by the Steering Committee, which is chaired by the project sponsors.
- Chandra Holte, Associate Vice President for Human Resources
- Laura Lupei, Associate Vice President for University Budget & Planning
- David Crozier, Associate Vice President for Finance
- Mike Ogg, Associate Vice President for Academic Resources
- Dr. Diane Guido, Associate Vice President for Faculty Affairs & Success
Subject Matter Experts
In addition to the Steering Committee, several Subject Matter Experts will be consulted for input into the decision-making processes.

- Jeff Keating, Associate Vice President for Governmental Relations and Strategic Communications
- Dr. Heather Brown, Associate Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness
