Purpose of Meeting: Housing Analysis – Findings and Next Steps

• Overview of Student Housing Concept

• Student Interviews re: off-campus experiences

Student Housing General Notes:

• Re-iteration of Task forces split – Oversight/Workforce/Student Housing – explained on webpage
• Presentation w/ goals/demand/location/costs
• Goals – Establish time horizon for goal of 50% of undergrad in on-campus housing
  • Diversify housing options while maintaining quality
  • Improve underwhelmed/underutilized spaces
• Demand – Need to revisit demand study for greater response
  • Supply low/housing demand is high.
• Location - Zinfandel current lifespan is 4-5 more years max, it is one of the older complexes
• Cost of construction greater than it was and likely only increasing / Interest rates likely to increase-further increasing the cost of building

3. Analysis of options/off campus housing – Why?
4. Analysis of how much additional increase in housing costs is needed to fund new housing project
